It has been a long time for anyone other than Greeneville to win the District 2 Championship. Our Falcons look to defeat Greeneville for the third time this season and earn a Championship in doing so.

Hawkins County Schools will operate on a two hour delay today, February 24 at all schools except Clinch School. Clinch School will be closed.

Austin Glass finished his Senior and career as a Volunteer Falcon wrestler with an emotional overtime win in the 3rd/4th medal match! In a 7-4 decision, Austin secured a takedown in a sudden death scenario defeating the #1 seeded Class AA 150lber Max Cable. Cable had gotten the best of Austin in Sections, but it was Austin that wanted it more at the State Championships! They battled the first three rounds to a 7-7 tie.
What a monumental accomplishment it is for Austin to go back-to-back State Championship podiums while finishing 3rd in our state. He is also a two-time ALL STATE wrestler!
We are proud of the student and athete that Austin has been for his community and Volunteer High School!!!
Cayden Bowen's season has came to an end at the State Championships. Going 2-2 in Franklin, Bowen finished his freshman season as a Top 12 wrestler in our state. With three years remaining in his tenure, a podium finish or State Championship is within reach of this developing young man. We are extremely proud of his hard work and passion for this sport. Congratulations Cayden on being a State Qualifier this season!

Volunteer will face Greeneville in the District 2-AAA Championship game on Tuesday February 24th at Grainger HS. Game time is tentative for 7:30pm.

From Welding to Vet Science, Nursing to Engineering — they toured every CTE program, stepped into real classrooms and shops, and got a firsthand look at the skills that lead to real futures. Our future Falcons got to meet the instructors and hear from the students who make our programs come alive.
