We will continue sending notifications through normal channels, but please check our Facebook page, website LiveFeed (www.hck12.net), or the HCS Mobile App Feed for the most up-to-date information.

A letter will be coming home explaining the policy for water bottles and toys. Please be on the lookout.
Water Bottles
SCES will only allow “spill proof” water bottles. This means we no longer accept open straw cups, and all containers must have a sealed closing. The only liquid acceptable in the water bottle is water. No soda, water flavoring of any kind (even sugar free or clear), or juice allowed.
Toys
SCES will not allow toys at school. This includes, but is not limited to, stuffed animals or characters (“stuffies”), squishies, fidgets (spinners, pop-its, etc.), figurines, electronics/technology, and any other item that distracts from the learning environment. Teachers may have a “Bring a Toy to School Day” where students are rewarded for good work or behavior. This will be announced prior to the day and will be the only time toys are permitted.
We are excited about the new school year, and we appreciate your support in making SCES a wonderful place to learn and grow! As always, reach out to us if there are any questions.

Our student information system, Skyward, is currently down due to a server issue affecting school districts across Tennessee. Because of this, we are unable to complete student enrollments, make schedule changes, or process other student information until the system is back online.
We know this is frustrating, especially as we prepare for the new school year, and we appreciate your patience while the issue is being resolved. We'll continue working as soon as Skyward is available again and will share updates when we receive them.
Thank you for your understanding!
